Hi Julie. Thanks for taking the time to share this—especially after trying two sizes. That’s understandably frustrating. The Recover · Aero Brief is built very differently from traditional underwear. It’s designed as a hybrid with a relaxed, low-pressure fit and a “zero-pressure pouch,” so it prioritizes freedom and recovery over compression or structured hold . That can sometimes feel smaller or more minimal in coverage if you’re expecting a more conventional, supportive fit. That said, sizing should still feel right—and if both L and XL felt too tight, there’s likely something off in how the size was matched. We typically recommend sizing based on hip measurements rather than waist, as that tends to give a much more accurate fit with this fabric and construction . The Aero is also meant to stretch and adapt once on-body, but it shouldn’t feel restrictive out of the gate. If you’re looking for more coverage and a more “secure” feel, you may be better suited in one of our more structured styles rather than the Recover line, which leans intentionally minimal. Either way, we’d be happy to help you dial in the right size or point you toward something that better matches what you expected—just reach out.
