Ishi, Redefining Precision and Performance

Born into a family of engineers, Ishi’s path was shaped by a profound appreciation for innovation, and the pursuit of excellence. From an early age, he immersed himself in tool and die making, a craft that sharpened his meticulous attention to detail. Later, his tenure at a jet engine turbine company refined his understanding of precision mechanics, instilling in him a disciplined approach that would define his future ventures.

Parallel to his technical upbringing, Ishi excelled as a competitive athlete, channeling his drive and focus into his pursuits on and off the field. His discovery of sound technology in the 1990s sparked a fascination with creative mediums and its synergistic capabilities, prompting him to explore the intersection of art and technology. This curiosity led Ishi to study design and photography, disciplines that would become the cornerstone of his career.

A Jaunt in Paris?

Ishi’s creative career took him across the globe, living and working in Europe, Asia, and the Americas before settling in Paris, France, where he spent 12 transformative years. During this period, he was commissioned by Vogue and esteemed luxury brands to create compelling imagery and develop visionary concepts. His collaborations with renowned ateliers such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Prada, YSL, to name a few, offered Ishi unparalleled insights into this coveted textile world, inspiring his next chapter.

As an Image Maker for global giants like Nike, Adidas and Puma, Ishi worked closely with Olympians and elite athletes, including world-class footballers in the EU. His partnership with Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, leading up to the 2012 Olympics, was particularly transformative. Observing the relentless drive of these athletes sparked a vision in Ishi: to create performance apparel that seamlessly blends innovation, precision, and elevated design.

Blending Art & Science

Drawing on his extensive experience in technology and textiles, Ishi set out to revolutionise men’s performance wear. In 2021, he founded AsWeMove, a groundbreaking apparel company driven by technological innovation. From its launch, the brand has catered to high-level performers, blending form and function to redefine everyday essentials.

Ishi’s contributions to the apparel industry go beyond design—he has invented technologies and machinery—all of which are patent protected and have changed the way performance wear is crafted. His creations embody his ethos: a commitment to empowering individuals to perform at their peak with apparel that feels like a second skin.
