This is more of a review for internal use. I apologize if it's not what you're looking for. The waistband is so much better on these. However, along with the tighter waistband I've noticed there is a tighter pouch on the Aspires. I have an XL sport brief from 2 years ago that won't stay on my waist for more than 5 minutes before sliding down the butt, but... I loved the pouch and the freedom and wobble it allowed. These 2 waste bands definitely stay on and that's great but the pouch feels much more constricting than the old ones (more like a Dominate pair). I miss the free, nothing there effect. Attaching a video with apologies but really miss that old pouch feeling. I think it's obvious the old blue ones allow more hang and more wobble than the new green ones. Same size (XL) on both.
AAsWeMove4/1/26Thank you for taking the time to share this, it’s genuinely helpful. We’re glad the updated waistband is doing its job and giving you that locked-in feel that was missing before. With Aspire, the introduction of Tru-fit Technology was designed to create a more supportive, responsive fit that adapts and holds you in place through movement, which can translate to a slightly more contained pouch compared to earlier versions. That said, we completely understand what you’re describing about the older pair having more freedom and a lighter, “nothing there” sensation. If that looser, more natural movement is what you prefer, you might find the Classic or even certain earlier Aspire batches closer to that experience, as they allow for a bit more give in the pouch. Your comparison between the two generations is exactly the kind of insight we use when refining future iterations, so we really appreciate you calling it out so clearly.
